I have visited Brazil about half a dozen times over the past 8 years or so. It’s a fascinating, incredibly diverse country, caught somewhere between being a developing country and becoming one of the world’s next great economic superpowers.
It’s a beautiful place with stunning geography and lively, vibrant cities. Brazilians have an infectious happiness that is impossible not to be affected by.
Rio De Janeiro is a crazy, dirty, dangerous, overcrowded but beautiful city quite like no other on Earth.
The coastline west of Rio contains the Selva Atlántica, one of the most spectacular coastal rainforest systems anywhere in the world, where the colorful town of Paraty showcases Brazil’s historic, colonial past as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
