Bangkok is one of those iconic places that every traveler should see. It’s full of culture, life, traffic, chaos, vendors, people and is one of the busiest, biggest cities in the world. Around every corner is a Wat (Buddhist temple), covered in intricate details of tiny tiles and huge, golden Buddhas. These are an oasis of peace, offering a temporary respite from the chaotic city streets. Saffron-robed monks wander not only the temples, but also the streets, riding motorcycles.
Street food is everywhere and offers a greater selection than anywhere I’ve seen in the world. In all, Bangkok is without a doubt one of my favorite cities in the world. It’s a sensory overload and a cultural traveler’s urban dream come true.
